Bryan Mumford designed, built and added to the clock a small, almost invisible instrument through which the pendulum swings breaking an invisible light beam. The device, in conjunction with a MicroSet Clock Timer and interface software which Bryan designed, built and donated to the gallery, records the clock’s accuracy to the millionth of a second and is then displayed in the gallery on a monitor screen and on the web for the public to see from anywhere in the world.
